These 'pillow' shaped cubes are a relatively new innovation. Like square cubes they are ideal for general purpose drinks cooling. However their shape is designed to 'cushion' the impact of the drink as it is poured, thus avoiding 'splashback'. These cubes are also used for fresh food display.
